The municipal groups of the City of Cartagena will bring to the plenary this Thursday, April 26, for approval, an institutional declaration to express their opposition to the proposed European Regulation on the pan-European product of individual pensions (PEPP).

In this sense, we must remember that the groups have supported the demands of the pensioners, being present in their demonstrations and rallies in favor of decent and sufficient pensions, and want to show their solidarity with the group again. @flautas de Cartagena and support the public pension system.

Thus, through this institutional declaration signed by all the municipal groups, it is agreed to transfer to the European Parliament a series of petitions, such as to oppose and reject the Proposal for a Regulation presented by the European Commission and the Council on the pan-European pension product. Individuals -PEPP-;

that the European Parliament studies the necessary measures so that public pension systems guarantee decent and sufficient pensions;

and that it promotes the elimination of tax deductions for contributions to private pension funds.
