Cartagena dressed in literature to celebrate the Book Day, Monday, April 23, although it will display its activities until April 27.

The ninth edition of 'Open Book' is dedicated to Equality, with the valorisation of the merits of women in this field.

The act held in the Plaza del Icue last Monday consisted of a chained reading in which the authors of the 27 generation were given a voice, enlivened by the chamber group of the Youth Orchestra of Cartagena.

The event was presented by the Councilor for Culture and Education, David Martínez.

The reading ended with the symbolic act of throwing hats.

The same International Book Day, on Monday 23, there were other activities: Children's Theater of Escenalia that presented 'The place where the words live', in the Assembly Hall of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.
