Showcase and signatures of copies to celebrate the International Day of the Discos in Cartagena (17/04/2018)

On Friday, April 20, the Corte Inglés shopping center in Cartagena will celebrate the International Day of the Record Stores with a showcase and signatures of copies by local artists with works published and distributed nationwide, such as Nunatak, Ayoho and Carlos Madrid .

The activities, which have the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, will begin at 7 pm with free admission on the terrace of the commercial Alameda de San Antón, with acoustic performances in which artists will present their new discs.

NUNATAK

Nunatak will perform songs from his third installment, El Tiempo de los Valientes (Dro, Warner), defined as an exercise in value, a game of balance between the acoustic, the avant-garde and different musical decades.

Topics with small great stories of courage that invite you to enter from beginning to end.

Produced by Raúl de Lara, the Cartagena band alternates its most organic, luminous and folk part of its origins with the most pop, rock, progressive, with electronics, synths and darker atmospheres.

The choirs and the sound layers become the great attractions of his last album, as well as the sensation of direct present in the whole.

After the SanSan Festival (Benicàssim) and Let's Festival (Hospitalet de Llobregat), with success of public and critics, Nunatak continues the tour of his new album.

AYOHO

On the other hand, Ayoho, the winning Cartagena group from Vodafone Yu Music TalenS in 2014, will perform songs from their second album Ikigai (Son Buenos, 2017), performed together with producer Raúl de Lara.

A title that refers to the Japanese expression and that means the "reason to live".

Its main theme revolves around behaviors and thoughts that we observe or feel while we search for the meaning of existence.

Indie sophisticated and detailed that immerses us in a roller coaster of sensations, with a careful production and atmospheres ranging from the thunderous to absolute peace, captained by the characteristic voice of its singer.

With him Ayoho takes a turn of Turkish and dares to break with his previous sound, although on Friday we will listen to his new songs in its crudest version.

CARLOS MADRID

Virtually Nothing (Son Buenos, 2018), is the expected new album by Carlos Madrid.

Three years after his last EP "El Agua Negra", the Cartagena songwriter returns with his most disruptive and accurate work.

In these 10 songs, of which we will see a sample on Friday live at Corte Inglés, Carlos Madrid inaugurates a new stage that also works as a conclusion of his previous works: coherence while the American-inspired rock continues to work perfectly together to that insurmountable intimacy so characteristic of the artist, but now it crystallizes with violence in a profoundly lucid, lyrical, contemporary and uncomfortable discourse.

For this reason, the self-referential takes on a surprising protagonism, since it is investigated (sometimes from irony) in the true dimension of the artist, of the music itself;

of frustration and acceptance;

and the meaning, after all, of everything that is about to be completed, or about to be emptied.
