The XXI Contest of Classical Music for Young Performers of the Region of Murcia "Between Strings and Metals", held on Tuesday the end of String, in which the twelve contestants: eight violinists, two cellists, a double bassist and a violist, defended with dexterity and talent the works that they had chosen for this phase.
The program of contest was composed by works of composers who understood different times: Kabalewski, Brahms, Seitz, Beriot, Saint-Saëns, Kreisler, Haydn, Beriot, Dittersdorf, Wieniawski and Sarasate, where the contestants showed their virtuosity when interpreting them.
The jury, composed by Margherita Marseglia, Octavio de Juan Ayala, Irene Ortega Albaladejo, Stanislav Tkach and Álvaro Yepes Martínez, had it difficult to decide the prizes given the level of the contestants.
There is already a failure in this modality, which will be announced in the Closing Ceremony and Award Ceremony, which will take place on May 4, at 8:00 pm, at the El Batel Auditorium.
