Cs collects the claim of the Association of Social Graduates to create a Professional College in Cartagena (10/04/2018)

- The local spokesman of Cs, Manuel Padín, has committed to analyze and contact his Parliamentary Group to assess their definitive support for the proposal, "here are legal reports that conclude in a contrary way, and before making a decision we want to know what is the best for this professional group "

The spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, has received part of the directive of the Association of Social Graduates of Cartagena and Region, among them, its President, José Moreno, who has transferred to orange training the work he has been doing for years for the Regional Assembly to approve the amendment of Article 13.2 of the Law of Professional Associations in order to enable the creation of the Professional Association of Social Graduates of the District of Cartagena.

Among other issues, Moreno recalled that the association that leads groups more than 200 members and tried since its constitution 18 years ago split from the College of Social Graduates of Murcia, but -explains Moreno- "the law as it is now requires the conformity of the members of the rest of the Region, which makes us be at the mercy of the interests of the regional school ".

The president of the Social Graduated of Cartagena has denounced that the College of Murcia is "pressing" so that segregation does not occur and has alluded to revenue collection reasons, despite the fact that a population such as the Comarca of Cartagena justifies by itself the constitution of a school of its own.

He has also referred to the professional autonomy already enjoyed by other Professional Associations in Cartagena, such as Lawyers, Attorneys and others.

In Moreno's opinion, having a professional school that represents the social graduates of the Comarca, will simplify the performance of their work, and will improve the defense of their rights and the acquisition of skills.

The Association has recalled that most of the groups linked in Cartagena support them, municipalities, Chambers of Commerce, COEC, as well as the Bar Association and the Solicitors of Cartagena.

Likewise, José Muelas, former deputy of the Bar Association, has made two legal reports in which it is established that the Regional Assembly is competent to approve the law that they have been demanding for so long.

On the contrary, they have a report from the counsel of the Regional Assembly that discourages the constitution of this new professional entity due to a supposed "patrimonial damage" to the regional body.

According to José Moreno, this report has been analyzed and has already been disarmed by two new legal reports, one by José Muelas and another by the former regional deputy, Mariano García.

Apart from this historical demand, the board members highlighted the very high level of activities generated by their association, through the services they provide to their associates, the courses, conferences and conferences that they promote with prestigious speakers.

For his part, the orange training spokesman thanked "the work that for many years is making this exemplary association" and has asked the Association to send all the legal reports and has committed to analyze and contact your Group Parliamentarian to assess their support for the proposal, "here there are legal reports that conclude in a contrary way, and before making a final decision we want to be clear about the most reasonable and fair position".
