Social and solidarity commitment to celebrate Europe Day in Cartagena (06/04/2018)

Cartagena commemorates the Day of Europe, which is celebrated on May 9, with a month full of activities scheduled in the first edition of the MESdeEUROPAjuventudCARTAGENA.

The programming is designed to encourage social commitment and solidarity of the youngest.

The program was presented on Thursday, April 5, by the youth councilor, David Martinez, who has been accompanied by Jakob Müller, a European volunteer who works with the youth area of ​​the Consistory.

During this month, from April 9 to May 9, the Mobility Space of the Youth Council will carry out various activities aimed at bringing the European theme to the youth of Cartagena, with the aim of promoting social commitment and solidarity of the young people, through the dissemination of the Eramus + program, as well as the newly created European Solidarity Corps, to encourage young people to join him and thus opt to participate in volunteer projects of an international nature.

Among the planned activities, the mayor has highlighted the Workshops on Cultural Diversity;

Migration-Mobility;

"How to prepare a candidacy to participate in European projects";

the Round Table on Cinema-Culture and the Intercultural Workshop of Modern-Jazz Dance.

On the other hand, the European volunteer, Jakob Müller, has emphasized the importance of these planned activities for the dissemination of European culture among young people of Cartagena and has outlined the International Storytelling and The Special Month of the entire program. Sophie, Jakob and Dori, European volunteers living in Cartagena, who come from Hungary, Belgium and Germany and who are currently participating in the European Voluntary Service project "Cartagena, a piece of Europe, will be present in the organization of all these activities. FIRST EDITION OF THE EUROPEAN YOUTH MONTH CARTAGENA
