Ciudadanos gathers the demand of the young entrepreneurs to centralize and order the training courses in Cartagena (28/03/2018)

- "We have agreed on the need to reactivate the local and regional employment tables and work on them with all the groups to design a strategic plan for employment and the progress of Cartagena without short-termism, it is necessary to know what we want to be as a municipality and region within 10 or 15 years, "said the local spokesman for Citizens, Manuel Padín.

The Municipal Group of Citizens in Cartagena has received the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Cartagena (AJE) in its dependencies of the Consistorial Palace.

The meeting was attended by the president of AJE, José Manuel Antón, Rafael Sanchez de San Pedro, vice president, and the local spokesman of the orange formation, Manuel Padín.

One of the main issues addressed was the lack of control and coordination in the offer of training courses by public entities.

In the opinion of young entrepreneurs, it is necessary to reflect deeply on the effectiveness of a supply system that does not seem to respond to the real needs of the labor market, and in which duplicities occur.

For the president of AJE, "it is necessary to adapt this training to the specializations demanded by the industrial and economic tissues of the Comarca of Cartagena, taking into account the knowledge and direct experience that associations such as the one we represent".

For the spokesperson for Citizens, this problem can only get worse due to the speed with which the labor market changes, "let us take into account that 80% of the jobs of the future have not even been created yet, if we are not able to see the present, the future is going to run over us without compassion. "

"If the INFO, the ADLE, the SEF and other entities, each go their own way, we will not be promoting a structured and strategic offer that will help the unemployed who want to prepare, find their place in society," Manuel has warned. Padín who has collected the proposal of the AJE to centralize this training to order and prioritize the offer, "many people are informed by writing a couple of keywords in an online search engine and end up lost and disoriented," Padin added.

According to the orange spokesman, "despite the attempts of the Community to solve this problem, we still do not design an offer adjusted to the profiles demanded by companies, profiles that need to be more competitive."

In the opinion of Manuel Padín, "we must promote meetings with all the groups involved and put on the table a planning of the offer to increase the efficiency of public resources and focus on market needs to promote employment, and It is not good to call meetings every five years, because from one year to the next, everything is transformed in an amazing way ".

In this regard, Manuel Padín recalled that his group believes it is necessary to strengthen the Employment Observatory in Cartagena, "this tool is taking its first steps, but it is still far from taking advantage of its full potential".

The president of young entrepreneurs also lacks mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of training courses, advice and assistance, "agencies often do not control or evaluate the success of the actions they carry out, if the person seeking work or wants undertake a project stops going because it has achieved, continues to be formed elsewhere or has given up, or how long, or the reasons for success or failure, it is vital to know what does not work to optimize services, but this kind of analysis it is not usually done and it seems essential "

Local and Regional Employment Table

Young entrepreneurs share with Citizens the need to reactivate the Local and Regional Employment Board and the obligation to abandon political short-termism in employment matters and start working on medium and long-term strategies.

"If we want them to serve, these tables can not be paralyzed for a year as has happened with the municipal table, and if the Community wants to find answers to the chronic rate of unemployment that we suffer in the region can not be inactive for more than five years the Local Committee ", lamented Manuel Padín who has reported that his Municipal Group has denounced this situation on multiple occasions and has asked" for active and passive that all the contributions that are poured into these tables are included in an ambitious strategic plan that it must have the express agreement of all, with the signature of all the members and whose actions must be valued and measured with their corresponding economic income to be included in the upcoming municipal budgets ".

"We have witnessed radical progress in the economic and social profile of other cities after reaching major agreements and designing long-term strategies like the one we propose, and we wish the same for Cartagena," said the spokesman for Citizens, who has set an example , the great pact of Gijón or the one of Málaga.

"The short-term actions are still necessary, but we should not settle for that, we must ask ourselves what we want to be and how we want to grow not only in the next three or four years, that is, a legislature, but within 10 or 15 years" .

Delay of construction license

Finally, the Association of Young Entrepreneurs understands that there is still a serious problem in the delays to undertake a work and grant licenses of work and activity, "the responsible statement has not solved the bureaucratic burden borne by the administration, the conditions of insecurity This process has not been much streamlined since they only deal with works that do not imply changes in the structure, in addition to the workload and the lack of personnel, they warn of the existence of a confusing and sometimes duplicated regulation.
