The music for equality was held this Saturday at + Q Musas Fest (12/03/2018)

Music for equality is what I can hear this Saturday, March 10, at the concert + Q Musas Fest of Cartagena.

A new cultural event based on musical proposals elaborated and interpreted by women in a vindicating and conscience way, and which was a golden touch to the activities developed around the Women's Day on March 8th. She dreamed.

You dare to dream?'.

The Department of Equality of the City of Cartagena, organizer of the event, together with the UPCT and Caja Rural Central, values this first edition as a success according to something more than a thousand people who passed through the Court of the Faculty of Sciences of the Company of Cartagena (Former CIM), during the more than four hours in which the festival was developed;

giving appointment to a large audience of different ages.

The night opened punctually with the first of the three sessions that the Murcian DJs 'Women Beat' would put into practice, a vertiginous journey through electronic music with indie and pop tints, in which the artists Me & Plutonita warmed up the public.

Later it would be the turn of 'The Other', this time accompanied by a solvent band, 'Las Locas del Co.', formed exclusively by women.

It would be the official presentation of 'Creciendo', the new album by this singer from Madrid, in which she investigates new paths related to miscegenation and lyrics of protest.

After another brief session of 'Women Beat', giving continuity to the event, the chameleon Vinila Von Bismark jumped on stage, presenting her brand new "Motel Llamado Mentira", an ode to transgression and expressiveness.

His concert charmed the audience from the beginning, with some critical moments in which he played, in addition to his own songs, memorable versions such as "Todo es de color" by Triana and Manuel Molina, or the well-known copla "Ay pena, penita, pena" , popularized by Lola Flores.

Women Beat closed the festive edition of + Q Musas Fest, an event that adds to the extensive cultural offer of the Region of Murcia.

The festival is organized by the Department of Equality of the City of Cartagena, with the sponsorship of the UPCT and Caja Rural Central and is scheduled to attend the Councilor for Culture, David Martinez.
