The Auditorium of the Batel will host on March 24 at 12 o'clock the Extraordinary Holy Week Concert by the Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena, under the baton of director Jaime Enguídanos, and whose ticket price will be 8 euros in the stalls and first amphitheater and 5 euros in the second amphitheater.
The presentation of the concert was carried out by the councilor of the Culture, Youth and Education area, David Martínez, and the president of the Board of Brotherhoods, Manuel Martínez.
The mayor has highlighted the importance of music because it is "almost everything" in a procession of Holy Week and "what invites us to reflect and brings us closer to that spirituality", to which he added that the bands or groups they are present to "highlight with their interpretations the solemnity, devotion or elegance of Holy Week".
He also stressed the need for musicians "to be recognized for their work and the effort of each and every one of the components that take many hours of rehearsal and that prepare practically new marches that premiere in our processions", has added.
Martinez has reiterated the importance of recognizing his work to the musicians who compose marches only for our processions "sometimes sufffering it with their love of art", which leads them to pass "economic difficulties", he added.
On the other hand, Manuel Martinez has advanced that in the concert the musicians will perform their own marches that sound in the Californian, Marrajos and the Resurrected parades.
In addition, he explained that since the Socorro brotherhood has a mute drum and the singing of the saeta, those of Socorro will be represented by the Lola Cruz loophole that will open the concert and close it in conjunction with the Cartagena Symphony Orchestra, "something totally new, "he concluded.
