The ADLE will give continuity to its entrepreneur programs, training and orientation to the unemployed in 2018 (05/03/2018)

The Agency of Local Development and Employment of the City of Cartagena (ADLE) will continue in 2018 programs that are already working, adapting them to the demand and promoting key elements that allow to obtain the highest performance in their actions, as noted by its manager, Manuel Mora Quinto, in his presentation to the Governing Council of this body, which was chaired by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.

Mora explained that to achieve greater objectives, it will promote proximity to society, expanding the relationship and collaboration with groups and entities, and increasing coordination between administrations.

He also highlighted the role of the Employment Observatory that will provide valuable information to carry it out.

Mora has commented that within the area of Enterprise you want to continue working with entrepreneurs by offering training through workshops and advice through innovative business circuits, ranging from initial advice to monitoring for the consolidation of the business project.

In the area of Training, about twenty courses have been programmed in which some 500 people will participate;

while in the area of Orientation, as a novelty this year we want to put in an activation group for employment in order to give personalized attention to long-term unemployed over 35 years that favors their employment.

Finally, the Employment Observatory will provide very useful data on the evolution of employment at the local level and the lines of action to be developed in this regard.

REJECTION TO THE 2018 BUDGETS

Mora has also presented the budgets of the ADLE for 2018, which have been rejected in the Governing Council with the votes against the PP;

the abstentions of MC, Citizens and CTSSP;

and the only favorable vote of the PSOE.

The budget added items for an amount of 2,162,000 euros, compared to 2,243,000 euros in 2017. This decrease has been explained by Mora in the assumption by the City Council of the chapters corresponding to staff, after the process of staffing, which add up about 267 thousand euros.

Thus the contribution of the City Council planned for 2018 would be 851 thousand euros;

against the 1,065,000 of 2017.

The ADLE is provided with funds from the City of Cartagena and grants obtained from different agencies to develop specific programs and courses.

According to Mora the rejection of these budgets will force to try to negotiate others, although it has specified that the ADLE can continue working with the extended budgets, since most of the games correspond to programs financed by other organisms.
