The Government now denies that the relationship between the FCC workers and the PP is being investigated, as Lopez said (26/02/2018)

- "It is unheard of, now it turns out that nothing was being investigated, and here there are only two explanations: either the spokesman of MC, José López, has been lying and never investigated FCC and only launched very serious accusations without foundation, or the current government does not know these municipal inquiries: in any case, this gives us an idea of the enormous chaos and nonsense that has meant for Cartagena the previous government coalition of MC and PSOE, "said the local spokesman of Cs, Manuel Padín

- The orange formation has also been interested in knowing the fate of the last adoptions carried out by the CATAD and by the action of the City Council before the crack appeared as a result of a water drain in a building of the Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood

Cartagena, Monday, February 26.

The Municipal Group of Citizens in Cartagena today requested explanations from the local government on three issues:

FCC research

The spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, asked today in the ordinary plenary session what is the status of the municipal investigation in relation to the information offered by the former mayor of Cartagena, José López, according to which some councilors of the Popular Party would have relatives and friends charging from the FCC company without going to work and others exercising this work in other municipalities.

The orange training wanted to know if they have already completed the research and if the legal services have been urged to initiate a procedure.

To the surprise of the Municipal Group of Citizens, the Government of Cartagena has assured today that there is no municipal investigation that was announced by the previous mayor of Cartagena, José López in September 2016.

The orange formation wants to recall that in the September 2016 plenary session, the then mayor, José López, assured that they had "found in the cleaning company some women councilors and relatives of the Popular Party councilors placed in the company. going to work, charging and not going to work (...) We have been trying to clean the cleaning company for a year. "

"(...) that of occupying part of the concessionaires is called revolving doors (...) of entrance they have recognized us that there are twenty people, who were paying them from here and who served in other municipalities and then we have the duplicities of people who have to to clean the schools and send them to clean the Batel. "

According to the Citizens spokesperson, "after more than a year since Mr. López made these demonstrations, and reported that there was an ongoing investigation whose conclusions would be transferred to all groups, now it turns out that the Government of Cartagena does not know that there is no investigation. "

However, on December 28, 2017, Grupo Ciudadanos received a written response to the questions it asked in November, and the Government assured that "the control and supervision of this contract, like the others, is constant, and the conclusions to be issued by the technicians will be known through the regulated administrative channels, as soon as the conclusions and reports are issued "and that it would be then when it was decided if that information was transferred to the legal services.

For Citizen spokesman, "is unprecedented, now it turns out that nothing was being investigated, and here there are only two explanations: or the spokesman of MC has been lying and never investigated FCC and just launched very serious accusations without any foundation, or the current government does not know these municipal inquiries: in any case, this gives us an idea of the enormous chaos and nonsense that has meant for Cartagena the previous government coalition of MC and PSOE.

Crack in the 600

The orange training has learned that the Social Services Area of the City has begun the arrangements of a large crack existing for more than three years in one of the buildings of the street Mayor Carrión Ingles in the Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood.

However, and according to statements made by the president of the Neighborhood Association of the area collected by the media, the Consistory will only act on the outside of the building, keeping the damage inside the houses of the building.

The spokesman of Cs Cartagena, Manuel Padín, has been interested to know if the local government is going to limit itself to repair the crack of the building only in its outer part, and if it has prepared a project of integral rehabilitation for this property.

On the part of the Government of Cartagena, the councilor of the Area of Economic Strategy and Finance has replied that he has assured that "the City Council has reached a proposal for a consensus solution with the families of the property, which has not been proven that there is any danger since there is no the structure has been affected since it is only a break in a water drain ".

The mayor of the Government has also clarified that "as it is a private home the City has no competence but has made some actions under the extraordinary assistance offered by the Department of Social Services in cases like this, even inside a of the houses that have been affected ";

on the other hand, she has informed that a new visit is planned by the urban planning technicians to verify the current situation and that no rehabilitation project is planned. "Carmen del Amor regretted the" misinformation "that she says the representative neighbor of the neighborhood with respect to these subjects.

Ask CATAD

The Municipal Group of Citizens has received during this month a letter from an individual alarming about the situation of the animals in the Center for the Reception and Treatment of Domestic Animals (CATAD).

In the remitted text, it states that;

On January 4, she went to the CATAD facilities to adopt a dog, and on the spot, several workers informed her that all the animals that were there were for adoption.

A few days later, on January 12, he went again to pick up another previously booked dog, finding that there were only 8 dogs and 5 cats in the center.

She indicates in her letter that she was informed that 47 dogs had gone to Germany, which surprised her and led her to send her alarm to the municipal groups.

Because of the above, the orange training has asked about the adoption certificates of the 47 dogs transferred to Germany in the month of January.

The Government has replied that the 47 animals have been collected by an animal protection association in Germany and that the information requested is in the CATAD, and that it is reflected in the TRACES, a veterinary computer system established by the European Union that allows the exchange of information regarding imports and movements within the EU territory of live animals, and facilitates the issuance of veterinary or animal health certificates to the authorities of third countries.

Citizen spokesman has used his turn to try to clarify if it is possible to track the fate of each of these animals, but has not received a response.
