The Risen One begins the triduum to its holder with the III Pregón de Juventud (23/02/2018)

Paloma Pérez Galindo was in charge of proclaiming the III Pregón de Juventud that took place in the afternoon of yesterday in the parish church of Santa María de Gracia, with which the triduum was started in honor of Our Father Jesus Resurrected, holder of the Brotherhood , on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of this.

At the beginning of the act, the blessing of the copy of the founding shroud, which was made by the art steward of the Brotherhood, will take place in the procession on Easter Sunday.

Dulce Ruiz, announcer of 2017, was in charge of presenting Paloma, who made an intense proclamation, full of emotions and memories, in which she highlighted the founding of the brotherhood, spoke of the young confreres today, of the role of women in Holy Week and his feeling brother.

The announcer made a review for the constitution of the Brotherhood, valuing the effort made by these young brothers to give Cartagena a Procession of the Resurrection, and at the same time I compared them with the young people of today's society.

He also stressed that young people today are prepared and qualified, have a great Christian feeling and brotherhood, and want to continue taking the step in the groups and brotherhoods.

"Despite the fact that we have many very valid young brothers, who already hold positions and make decisions for and for the good of the Brotherhoods, I think there is still a long way to go," he said.

He also spoke of the formation needed by young people to continue Holy Week, where the Brotherhoods and their chaplains have a fundamental role, and not just focus on receiving an inheritance and transmitting a tradition.

Social networks were also present in the proclamation, since they are the means used by young people in their day to day lives, and that the brotherhoods must increase their presence in them and their publications.

He stressed that women are very present in Holy Week, but that even then young people have to continue with this full integration, because faith does not understand gender.

"The Faith does not understand gender, therefore the full access of women to groups and fraternities is essential, we have a fundamental role to perpetuate the celebration of Holy Week," he said.

To conclude the proclamation, and after asking if the confrere is born or is it done, he highlighted what is for her the feeling of the confraternity and how the confreres live for the entire year.

The last thing was to urge the young people to continue working for and for Holy Week, and to make themselves heard in society as brothers and Christians.

"We are prepared and we want to change the world, but the main thing is that we are believers and even more brothers, and that brotherly feeling accompanies us 365 days a year and 24 hours a day," he added.

He also thanked his father for giving him the opportunity to belong to the Brotherhood of the Risen One.
