The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has accompanied this afternoon the hundreds of pensioners who have concentrated in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, before the Palace Hall, to protest the rise of 0.25 percent of pensions, the minimum mark the law, for the fifth consecutive year,

The mayor has promised to present a proposal for an institutional declaration so that the plenary expresses its support for their demands.

The spokesperson for CTSSP, Pilar Marcos, was also at the rally.
