Those of Roquetas prevail in the Contest of Chirigotas stuffed in their tin cans (12/02/2018)

The Regional Competition of Chirigotas City of Cartagena already has new winners.

The group that got into the public and the jury in the pocket was the Chirigota de Roquetas.

The Singuangos and Sangochaos, were proclaimed second and third, respectively.

Full in the Municipal Auditorium of the Batel, on Friday night, February 9, to have a good time with the lyrics full of satire and humor, played by the groups of chirigotas who had reached the final of the contest.

The Robinsons of the Island, the Singuangos, Chirigota de Roquetas, Los Picoesquina, and Los Sangochaos, were the five groups that had slipped into the final, after the two semifinals played the previous days (Wednesday 7 February and Thursday February 8th).

All of them took the stage in two passes, the second of them broadcasted live on the website of the City of Cartagena through the municipal news channel on YouTube.

La Chirigota de Roquetas, sausages in their cans, took the first prize of 2,400 euros to Almería.

His outfits of octopus cans, sardines in oil, mussels, anchovy fillets, bonito from the north, clams, cockles, tuna, or knives, as well as his grace on stage, earned them the highest distinction.

The rest of the groups also received their recognition.

The second prize, of 1,550 euros, went to Los Singuangos;

the third prize of 950 euros;

for Los Sangochaos, the fourth prize of 500 euros, for Los Robinsones de la Isla;

and a fifth prize of 400 euros, for Los Picoesquina.
