The Hache Award brings to Cartagena the writer Daniel Hernandez Chambers (07/02/2018)

The Paraninfo of the UPCT Muralla del Mar Campus welcomed the presentation of the young novel "Show me the eternity" by the writer Daniel Hernández Chambers on February 7th.

The presentation took place within the framework of the cycle of meetings with authors of the Hache Award, which is part of the Mandarache Award, organized by the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena.

The councilor of the area of ​​Youth, Education and Culture, David Martínez Noguera, who has been present at today's presentation, has reported that the author, Daniel Hernández Chambers, will be during today and tomorrow, February 7 and 8, in different meetings with young Cartagena.

Hernandez has begun his stay in the auditorium of the Campus Muralla del Mar, where he has met with 600 young people between 12 and 14 years and are part of the jury that will choose the winner of the Hache Award.

Also, the writer of youth literature will be today February 7 at 17:30 hours at the Intercultural Center of the Old Town and at 7:00 pm, with Mandarache Book, at the ARQUA Museum, while tomorrow, February 8, will be at 9 hours at the San Vicente de Paúl School and 11 hours at the Caja Mediterráneo Foundation.

The person in charge of presenting Hernández's new novel, "Show me the eternity", has been the IES professor Juan Sebastián El Cano, Ignacio García Fornet, the project's promoter, who has classified Hernández's work as "a great novel in the that fantasy and reality are mixed and that it confronts us with very important questions ".

"It has a lot of suspense, excitement, surprises that you get up from the chair," he explained, while adding that "it is a highly recommended novel for all readers of Hache."

For his part, the author has indicated that he had wanted to be part of this project for many years, "I think it is something that should be imitated in all the municipalities of Spain or even at the state level," he said.

THE NOVEL: SHOW ETERNITY

Daniel Hernández Chambers has defined his work as an intriguing novel that mixes fantasy with more realistic touches and in which the protagonists are a father and a son who have lost their wife and mother.

"In my view, the relationship between them and how they face the loss of a loved one is very important, but then they get involved in an investigation that has a lot of fantastic tint".

"I always mix fantasy with real historical facts," he concluded.
