Citizens will ask for explanations at the next Plenary for the "sloppy" City Hall in Santa Ana and Los Mateos (06/02/2018)

Cartagena, Tuesday, February 6.

On the occasion of the complaints of the residents of Santa Ana who consider "the very poor project" already completed of the cycle path by which the City invested 74,000 euros, and the complaints of some citizens in social networks for steel works in Calle Trinidad de Los Mateos, the Municipal Citizens Group announced today that it will request explanations from the local Executive at the next ordinary Plenary.

As for the cycle path of Santa Ana, the spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, today reported that he has already requested a meeting with the Neighborhood Association of the area to address this issue, and check on the ground the complaints about its width and lighting.

In addition, the orange training wants to check other complaints such as the accumulation of garbage on the sides of the path, and the poles of light that rise in the middle of the road blocking the way, as published by La Verdad a few days ago.

"Now what it touches is to mend the unstitched and to give the necessary adjustments to have a work of future that satisfies the needs of its users and not the infamous race of obstacles that they have done", Padín has explained.

On the other hand, Cs regrets that the City Council has not yet responded to the initiative they promoted in October in which they asked the Consistory to review the state of bike lanes and cycle path of the municipality and to proceed with the repainting of those sections that they will need, the recovery of the deteriorated pavement, and solve the security problems in some sections.

The Mateos

Citizens will also ask for explanations for the completion of the works of access to the Aníbal public school in Los Mateos and the steeple of Calle Trinidad in which 18,000 euros were invested, and where today it can be seen how the streetlights prevent the passage of carts or people in wheelchairs and how a pedestrian crossing has been rendered useless.

"The most shameful and ridiculous is that one of the parties responsible for these works, MC, has just printed an informative pamphlet in which he boasts of them, and also endorses the projects proposed by the neighbors in the participatory budgets, as well as a good part of the initiatives promoted by Citizens through their amendments and motions.
