Renacer and Paraiso are imposed in the Regional Contest of Choreographic Groups (05/02/2018)

The Regional Contest of Choreographic Groups closed the Carnival festival activities on Sunday, February 4, at the Wssell Central Sports Pavilion in Guimbarda.

The winning group in the children's category was Paraiso, while in the adult category Renacer prevailed.

The contest celebrated this carnival its sixteenth edition with the tickets sold out of the adult contest from the month of January.

The event was attended by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, the councilor of the Culture area, David Martínez and the councilman of Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba.

In the adult category 11 groups participated: El Desmadre, El Destello, El Limbo and La Divina Comedia, all of them from Yecla;

School of Dances Carmen, of Alcantarilla;

and Imperium, Mandala, MarDance, Paradise, Renacer and Titanide, from Cartagena.

Of all of them Renacer was ranked first, El Flash second, third Paradise and fourth Titanide.

The children's groups participated, a few hours before, in the same Wssell Central Sports Pavilion in Guimbarda.

On this occasion there were 7 groups: Bublebee, Torres de Cotillas;

School of Dances Carmen, of Alcantarilla;

and the Cartagena de Mandala, MarDance, Paradise, Renacer and Titanide.

The final classification was the first position for Paraiso, the second for MarDance and the third prize for Titanide.

In the morning, the activities had begun in the Plaza de San Francisco, where the Baile del Vermut took place, in which the Cartagena group 'High Tension' performed free of charge.
