Isabel García (MC) reports that the study on the water cycle has detected possible extra costs incompatible with the revisions proposed by Hidrogea (03/02/2018)

Several media outlets have published the finalization of the study on the water supply contract commissioned by the City Council in the spring of 2017, without the website of the City of Cartagena having echoed this finalization.

The deputy spokesperson of MC Isabel García has announced that the municipal group will request access to the complete file this Monday to be able to check the different reports, as well as will urge an urgent and extraordinary meeting of the Monitoring Commission, to which each group can go " with spokesman and vice-speaker, as well as advisors to be able to better approach the file and its results ".

García reasons "for the moment it is hasty to make assessments, although there are those who, without reading the reports, have already hastened to affirm that Hidrogea complies with the contract, and we do not even know where the information comes from."

The mayor recalls that "from our responsibilities in sustainable development in MC we know the personnel reports and collection lists issued by the UTE, and in terms of personnel, they set a cost much lower than what Hidrogea is perceiving and to which they contemplate their revision proposals" .

García also says that "extra costs could be released in the acquisition of meters from the 2012 tariff period, and irregularities in the subcontracting of essential contract services."

Councilwoman Cartagena regrets that "we learned by the agencies of the presumed conclusions of a study whose completion was delayed very strangely, coinciding with Castejón's fix with Hidrogea."

"Our sensation is that something very strange happens, and we will question the government in full to inform us if those conclusions are municipal or those of the concessionaire, and if it is the latter we will reach the end to know the reasons why Hidrogea knows a job commissioned by the City Council before it. "

Garcia concludes "even taking for granted the information we can say that the technical assistance detects breaches and is difficult to reconcile with the review that Castejón and Hidrogea prepared between December 27 and 29, what, we can explain in more detail when give us access to the file. "
