The children writer Ana Alonso will be at the Meetings with Author from February 6 to 9 at the Municipal Libraries (01/02/2018)

The author Ana Alonso will visit the Municipal Libraries of the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, as part of the Encuentros con Autor program and will talk with the children and primary school students who have registered for the activity in the libraries of the Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy, Manuel Puig Campillo (Barrio Peral) and Rafael Rubio (Los Dolores).

These meetings will take place on February 6, 8 and 9

On the first day, on Tuesday, February 6, the author will meet with children from 3 to 5 years old from the Stella Maris school and with third grade students from the Luis Vives school in El Albujón.

The meetings will be at the Doña Centenito Children's Library of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.

On Thursday, February 8 there will be two sessions.

In the Manuel Puig Campillo Library in Barrio Peral you will meet students from San Felix School, Antonio Ulloa and Vicente Ros.

Later, it will be the turn of the students of the Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Sorrows in the Rafael Rubio de Los Dolores Library.

Finally, on Friday, February 9, the author will meet with 3rd grade students from the Marist schools, La Vaguada and Stella Maris in two sessions at 9:30 and 11:00.

'POETRY IN PRIMARY EDUCATION', TO READ, THINK AND IMAGINE

In addition to the meetings held with schools, on the afternoon of February 8, at 8:00 p.m., Ana Alonso will give a lecture at the Josefina Soria Library, which is framed within the Reading, Thinking and Imagining programming, dependent on the Department of Culture.

The conference is entitled "Poetry in Primary Education", due to the great prestige of this writer in her facet of poet, for which she has received many awards inside and outside our country.

The most recent and most important is the Manuel Acuña International Poetry Prize, in its 5th edition, valued at $ 120,000.

THE WRITER

Ana Alonso was born in Tarrasa (Barcelona) in 1970, although she has lived most of her life in León.

He graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of León and expanded his studies in Scotland and Paris.

He has published eight poems and, among others, has received the Hyperion Poetry Prize (2005), the Critical Eye Poetry Award (2006), the Antonio Machado Prize in Baeza (2007) and the Alfons el Magnànim Valencia Poetry Prize in Spanish (2008).

Between his books directed to the infantile and juvenile public they emphasize the collection 'Pinch of Salt', and other titles like 'The house of dolls' and 'The instants perfect'.

Together with Javier Pelegrín, she is co-author of the fantasy and science fiction series' La llave del tiempo ', by Anaya publishing house, and other sagas such as' Tatuaje', 'Yinn', 'Hate the Rose' and 'La reina de Crystal'.

In 2008 they won the Barco de Vapor Award for 'El Secreto de If'.
