MC continues his work of support and collaboration with taxi professionals (01/02/2018)

MC this morning held a working meeting with representatives of Radio Cartagena Taxi Union to address various issues of interest to professionals in the sector.

To this appointment, which has been held at the headquarters of this association in the Cabezo Beaza Industrial Estate, the president, Jesús Giménez, has come from the Cartagenerist formation;

the councilors of the municipal group, Isabel García and María José Soler, and the coordinator of neighborhoods and councils, Enrique Pérez Abellán.

MC representatives have transferred to Union Radio Taxi Cartagena the decision of this training to present an initiative to the Plenary so that the PSOE Executive does not abandon the lines of support to the sector that this training has promoted from its Government responsibilities.

Specifically, the delay in the adaptation grants to autotaxi approved at the proposal of MC Cartagena has been addressed, a circumstance that has been caused by the non-approval of the municipal budget;

the regularization of the rest days claimed by the sector;

the commission of the feasibility study that the Plenary agreed to a proposal of MC, a question much demanded by the taxi professionals, as well as the definitive advance in the ordinance, all of which will be contemplated in the initiative to be presented at the next plenary session.

In the same way, MC has informed Union Radio Taxi Cartagena that this training maintains the claim that the taxi drivers of the municipality and, of course, of the entire Campo de Cartagena can provide their services at the stop of the international airport of the Region, located in Corvera and, therefore, in county territory.

MC already moved, in the plenary session of last November of 2016, an initiative to urge the Governing Council of CARM to adopt the measures that allow, according to the current legislation, that this claim becomes a reality.

In this way, MC Cartagena maintains its commitment to claim that this infrastructure, of international vocation and conceived from the regional level, is not used to dislodge this Autonomous Community even more.

A few days ago, Jesús Giménez denounced the helplessness that taxi drivers suffer when projecting that only professionals from the municipality of Murcia can work at the aforementioned airport.

Before the end of the visit, the MC members have met the dependencies of Radio Cartagena Taxi Union and the necessary work performed every day by professionals in the sector.
