The Cartagena City Cardio-Protected City Project (CCC Project) is going to install several defibrillators in the ten selected schools in the municipality of Cartagena in the coming days, which will be added to the four already installed.
Prior to the installation, in order to comply with the Autonomic Regulations in this matter, two CPR and DESA training courses will be offered to teachers of the selected educational centers.
The first of these courses will be held on January 17, 19 and 24, and the second will be on days 7, 9 and 14 of February.
The training will be held at the ESPAC facilities (School of Public Safety of the City of Cartagena).
In this way the objective of optimizing resources is achieved, since these defibrillators will be during the school calendar in the educational centers and during the summer season on the beaches of the municipal area.
This is possible through the collaboration of the Department of the Interior and Education, Civil Protection and Fire.
In this way, 14 educational centers in the municipality of Cartagena will be cardio-protected spaces, since in addition to having a defibrillator, there will be trained teaching staff able to perform a high-quality cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
The schools where the defibrillator will be installed will be: CEIP Atalaya, CEIP Mediterranean (La Manga), CEIP Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente (Los Nietos), CEIP Santa María del Buen Aire (La Puebla), CEIP Santa Florentina (La Palma) , CEIP Los Alumbres (Alumbres), CEIP José María de la Puerta (Bda. José María de la Puerta), CEIP San Isidoro and Santa Florentina (Cartagena center), CEIP Virgen del Carmen (Cartagena) and CEIP Primitiva López (Cartagena).
