Cs: "We already know where the MC red line is to demand resignations in cases of corruption: in Lopez's suspicion" (08/01/2018)

- "The councilman of MC, José López has not only poisoned and rendered unviable a government coalition that was already weak in its minority, but has also sown the venom of discord among the public workers of the City Council and has divided those who they work for Cartagena of those who do not, in a division that, apparently, only he knows as the existential and spiritual demiurge that is ", lamented the spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín

- MC voted in favor of the extension of 25 years to Hidrogea in the 2003 Plenary

On the occasion of statements made today by the spokesman of MC, José López, at a press conference, the spokesman of the Municipal Group of Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, said that "what happened today can not surprise anyone in Cartagena, since the legislature began, nobody asks in the street if this Government will explode in a thousand pieces, but when it will do it, today is the chronicle of a dead woman announced, but it is being an agonizing death without palliative measures for the pain that embarrasses all those Cartagena who only ask the local Administration one thing: solutions to day-to-day problems. "

Manuel Padín assures that the only thing that surprises him of what has been said today in the press conference of MC has been that "it had not happened months ago".

"This disaster we have to thank not only MC and PSOE, but also the visionaries and distinguished politicians of CTSSP-Podemos that made it possible with their support in the investiture, godfathers of a political marriage in which nobody believed, the alchemists of an ideological experiment that is dragging through the mud of political intrigues the name of Cartagena and paralyzing future projects ", explained the spokesman for Citizens.

Manuel Padín lamented that "today the MC councilor, José López, not only poisoned and rendered unviable a government coalition that was already weak in its minority, but also has sown the venom of discord among public workers of the City Council and he has divided those who work for Cartagena from those who do not, in a division that, apparently, only he knows as the existential and spiritual demiurge that he is ".

"I hope we all take good note of what is happening so that it does not happen again," said the Cs spokesman who said that the Municipal Group he represents "has always worked in this direction, to provide proposals, stability, coherence and work, we have done this by adding and supporting budgets and supporting the ordinance of taxes, fees and public prices ".

The Cs spokesman believes that "Cartagena expected and deserved something else from his Government, I think that the Cartagena people want these politicians who fight today devote all their time and effort to use the money that comes from the pockets of all to design policies to fight unemployment, generate jobs, invest in profitable projects for the future, want their streets and squares clean, want the logistical, educational and health infrastructures that we need, lower the price for which they pay for water, protection of the natural and archaeological heritage, strategies for the promotion of culture ... and not crappy soap operas to position themselves before the 2019 elections ".

As for MC's accusations that the procedure for the water rebate was illegal, Padín has assured that "Mr. López and his political party are lucky to live in a right state that safeguards their ability to go to court always that they consider it necessary, if they believe it is appropriate to prepare a judicial appeal because the reduction was presented to the Governing Board without having the necessary reports to make an informed decision they must do so ".

"For our part, we trust the word given before all the media that occurred on December 29, when the mayor said he had all the technical reports we requested in our agreement for budgets," clarified Manuel Padín.

MC voted in favor of the extension of 25 years to Hidrogea

The Cs spokesperson also thinks it appropriate to recall that MC voted in favor of the extension of the 25 years to Hidrogea, as reflected in the minutes of the famous ordinary plenary session on November 12, 2003 and in which it can be verified that , the councilman of MC, Luis Carlos García, after abstaining from the Finance Committee, changed his vote in the House and voted in favor of the extension, "this has been confirmed with the Secretary of the Plenary recently, so that part of the merit that Cartagena undergoes an abusive and harmful extension for our interests we owe it to Movimiento Ciudadano. "

The red line of MC to request resignations in cases of corruption

On the accusations against the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the orange spokesman believes that "Mr. López has exceeded, I guess he will have proof of what he says and will take them to the courts, we prefer to wait for the court ruling to use those qualifiers, at a time when the red line is being debated at national level to demand responsibility, whether in the investigation ordered by a judge, in the declaration, or in the opening of the oral trial, today we finally know where there is the red line of MC: we must ask for the resignation when Mr. José López suspects that something bad is happening ".

"To Mr. Lopez we want to remind you that here, at the moment the only councilman of the City Council that is being judicially investigated for corruption offenses is him for the express purchase of the Peninsular Hotel," said Manuel Padín, who insisted that "if the Mr. López was in a political party that had an ethical code, he would have already abandoned his councilor's act to solve his problems with justice.
