The Finance Commission approves the public prices for 2018 (26/12/2017)

The Finance and Interior Commission approved on Tuesday the modification of the Public Price Ordinance of the City of Cartagena for the year 2018 with the votes in favor of PSOE and MC, the abstention of Citizens and Cartagena Yes You Can and the vote against of PP.

Among the changes, the reduction in the prices of the Municipal Infantile Schools is between 35 and 10 percent, according to the proposal that, at the request of the Councilor for Education, David Martínez, will be taken to the next Finance Committee.

In this way, the commitment of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, whose commitment to public education is firm and determined is met.

By schooling service, the general prices go down 15%, from 123 euros that were paid last year to 105 that will be paid from now on.

For dining service, the amount drops from 103 to 88 euros.

"The objective is to provide families with more economic needs who can use this service, which is why prices have been reduced more for those who have less," said David Martínez.

In this way, families whose income per capita is between 0 and 2,506.53 euros will go from paying 21.06 euros for the school service to pay 19.95 euros;

and those that are between the section of 5,013.07 and 7,519.59 euros will vary from 71.86 to 63.00 euros.

Also, the dining service will also be reduced.

In addition, a new payment tranche is included to extend the exemptions.

So far there were 5, since there was only one section for families with per capita income between 7,519.60 and 11,279.38 euros, and become 6, since the aforementioned is divided into two: From 7,519.60 to 10,527 , 43 and from 10,527.44 to 15,039.18 euros.

families with per capita income of less than 3,759.80 euros, who until now paid 46.88 euros for schooling and meals, will pay 41.95 euros;

those with a per capita income between 3,759 and 5,013 euros, go from 98,73 to 62,3;

and those that are in the range between 5,013 and 7,519 euros, paid 149,33 and now will have to pay 115,8 euros.

The section between 7,519.60 and 11,279.38 euro, which paid 201.17 euros, is divided into two: from 7,519.60 to 10,527.43, which will pay 139.5, and from 10,527.44 to 15,039.18 euros. , who will pay 172 euros.

Finally, families with a per capita income higher than 11,279 euros go from paying 227.19 to paying 193 euros.

To these reductions is added the remunicipalisation of various children's schools, such as Pozo Estrecho and La Palma.
