Citizens will present in the Plenary 23 investment proposals for Cartagena in the regional budgets of 2019 (25/12/2017)

"It does not make sense or smart to submit amendments to the 2018 budgets when the deadline to register them has ended as MC has, but it is interesting that we start working together since the beginning of 2018 to achieve the investments we deserve in 2019" , has indicated the spokesman of Citizens in Cartagena.

The Municipal Citizens Group in Cartagena has registered a motion that it will defend at the next ordinary plenary session that proposes a battery of investment proposals for the 2019 regional budgets.

Last December 19, the Draft Law of Regional Budgets for 2018 was approved, thanks to the votes of the Popular Party and Citizens.

"Although our group has had a very positive influence in increasing regional investments for Cartagena, these budgets are not the budgets of Citizens, since obviously we are not the regional government, nor are they much less the budgets that our municipality, "said the local spokesman for Citizens, Manuel Padín.

According to Manuel Padín, "the misinformation with which some political parties have tried to intoxicate the public by stating that there is a reduction in investments for our municipality has convinced us that we should raise this issue in the debate forum in which the issues should be discussed. that affect Cartagena, the Plenary of the Corporation ".

For Orange spokesman, the Plenary Hall "is the best place to express loud and clear what has been, is and will be the work of Citizens as opposition party both in the City Council and the Regional Assembly to be useful to our society, and where the lies can be contrasted with the information we are going to offer, that is, what Citizens has achieved with its amendments to the 2018 Regional Budgets and what we want to achieve by 2019. "

The orange training spokesman recalled part of the investment relationship achieved by his Parliamentary Group and that directly or indirectly affect the Cartagena people, "such as the elimination of the Inheritance and Donations tax that will save 14,000 citizens per year. 71 million euros in the Region, "which will save about 10 million euros to thousands of Cartagena", the financing of key sectors such as Health with the destination of 10,600,000 euros for the reduction of waiting lists, something much in demand by the collective and social platforms of Cartagena, in addition, three million euros for the nursing project in schools, among which are the public schools of the municipality ".

On the other hand, Manuel Padín has stressed that in the Citizen Agriculture section has obtained 16 million euros to subsidies and aid for the conversion of crops in organic farming, "aid that will greatly benefit the farmers of Campo de Cartagena, something that PSOE and MC had also been very much claimed ".

"I think that in Cartagena we are also interested in the recovery of the Mar Menor, a question that is very much demanded by our Plenary and that our training has made possible by reserving 29 million euros for its regeneration, among which are 2,800,000 euros for research" .

Manuel Padín has also referred to the 9 million euros for free textbooks, "game that can not be executed if the PSOE continues to block the law in the Assembly," recalled the spokesman who has also reported that there are 1,400,000 euros to improve the industrial estates, "an investment that will go largely to the Industrial Area of Los Camachos, which as we all know, awaits the arrival of the ZAL and its businessmen, a headquarters in the failed Contentpolis "

As for the ZAL of Cartagena, Manuel Padín recalled the commitment of his party to press for this year to run what has not been executed in 2016 and 2017, more than one million euros.

Investment proposals for 2019

In spite of everything, the spokesperson of Citizens in Cartagena believes that "there is much to do and much to contribute to the Cartagena from our position, for this reason we will present 23 investment proposals for 2019, and we are confident that with the support of all the political formations that make up the municipal corporation will be possible to start these commitments of the regional government, no doubt, work from the first minute of next year seems smarter and logical to ask amendments to the budgets of 2018 when the deadline to submit them has ended as he has done MC. "

"We are convinced that our regional deputies will fight hard to carry out these projects, as they have achieved those of 2018," says Manuel Padín.
