It is one of the most representative texts of contemporary Spanish theater and the most recognizable of its author.

The work takes place in the summer of 1936 when the Civil War broke out.

In the city of Madrid, the family formed by Don Luis, his wife Dolores and their children, Manolita and Luisito, share the daily life of the war with the maid and the neighbors of the building.

Theater of the absurd.

Almost seven decades ago, 'La cantante calva', by Eugène Ionesco, was premiered, one of the culminating works of the twentieth century theater and at the same time one of the most representative of the so-called theater of the absurd.

A great comedy that is in itself a great tragedy and whose validity remains intact today, in a brilliant montage directed by Luis Luque and starring Adriana Ozores and Fernando Tejero, together with Joaquín Climent, Carmen Ruiz, Javier Pereira and Helena Lanza, which arrives at the Nuevo Teatro Circo de Cartagena on Sunday, February 18.

The theater play 'Cyrano de Bergerac' starring José Luis Gil and Ana Ruiz and which was a great success at the last International Classical Theater Festival in Almagro, will be in Cartagena on Saturday, March 3.

Adventure, passion, tension, humor, beauty, love and indifference come together in Cyrano de Bergerac, a classic character of the theater that in this work is played by José Luis Gil, a very popular actor for his roles in TV series such as' Aquí no there is someone who lives. '

This new version of the text written by the French poet and dramatist Edmond Rostand comes from the hand of the director Alberto Castrillo-Ferrer.

On the other hand, Emilio Gutiérrez Caba will lead the cast on Saturday March 17, 'After the rehearsal', the most autobiographical work by Ingmar Bergman, a piece about the inexorable passage of time, the decadence of the body in the face of the drive of desires and the need to act.

The play narrates the life of an old theatrical director who immerses himself in his memories until he is interrupted by the entrance of Anna, a passionate and young actress, ready to sacrifice everything for art, and Rakel, a neurotic and alcoholic woman who was your lover

Thus, the three will evoke his sentimental life.

Faced with this situation, Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, Chusa Barbero and Rocío Peláez will give life to their protagonists under the direction of Juan José Afonso.

Gabino Diego and Teté Delgado will come to the theater on Saturday April 14 with "El Intercambio", the comedy that both are playing and which is reaping great success in his tour of Spain.

The work is a comedy full of visual and verbal gags, which stands out for its simplicity, which connects the audience from the beginning.

Along with Gabino Diego and Teté Delgado Rodrigo Poisón, Juanma Lara, Ignacio Nacho and Natalia Roig participate in the cast.

The address is also Juan José Afonso as in "After the enayo".

In "The Exchange" Eva has decided to give her husband, Jaime, an exchange of couples to celebrate their twenty years of marriage, and in passing, oxygenate the relationship a little.

What, a priori, is contemplated as an exciting and fun evening, will become a real nightmare.

Based on the best seller of Grégoire Delacourt, will be in Cartagena on Friday, April 27 "The list of my desires", a beautiful text that invites reflection on life.

Interpreted by the actress, presenter and comedian Llum Barrera "The list of my desires" is a monologue adapted by Yolanda García Serrano and directed by Quino Falero.

Based on the popular rural tragedy of Federico García Lorca, "La casa de Bernarda Alba", on May 19 will be staged in Cartagena and directed by Carlota Ferrer "This is not the house of Bernarda de Alba", a show that emerges as a song of creative freedom that fuses poetry, music, theater and dance.

A version of the popular work of the Granada creator where oppression and machismo suffer men.

In 1936, Lorca wrote perhaps one of the most feminist plays in our country.

The house of Bernarda Alba denounced the machismo of the time.

Now, Lorca's work has become even more feminist without women.

Men have replaced the role traditionally played by actresses to put themselves in their place, among them Eusebio Poncela, Oscar de la Fuente or Jaime Lorente.

They are now the oppressed.

The play has been adapted by the playwright José Manuel Mora, Max 2015 award.
