Firemen rescued two people who had to be taken to the hospital by helicopter (18/12/2017)

The Fire and Rescue Extinction Service of the City of Cartagena had to rescue two people on the coasts of the Comarca and to put out several light bulbs in a pine forest in the Vista Alegre neighborhood throughout the weekend on Friday, December 15 and on Sunday 18.

On Friday the 15th, the Fire and Civil Protection of the Union participated in the rescue of a fisherman who suffered an accident on a cliff of Playa del Lastre.

The rescue team received the distress call at around 10:30 in the morning.

Once the subject was located, the injured person had to be immobilized before a helicopter came to pick him up to take him to the hospital.

That same morning the firefighters came to the rescue, with the collaboration of the UME, a woman of German nationality who had suffered a fracture of the tibia and fibula in the area of ​​Boletes.

The accident was transferred by helicopter to the Santa Lucia Hospital.

On Sunday the 17th a Firefighters firefighting team had to move to a Pinar located next to the La Unión highway at the height of the Vista Alegre neighborhood.

The Emergency service received a call at 15:50 hours warning of the existence of several fire sources in the place that were extinguished without major incidence.
