MC Cartagena proposes in La Aljorra that the status of the new school be informed and the rest of the formations do not consider it urgent (15/12/2017)

Yesterday, MC Cartagena's member in the Municipal Neighborhood Board of La Aljorra, José Miguel Méndez, symbolized the desire of the Cartagena-based team to guide its line of action by criteria of honesty and transparency.

He did it during the celebration of the ordinary plenary of the aforementioned management body to, through a request, request the corresponding municipal services to send a copy of the files of the Mayor's Office, the Sustainable Development Area and the Ministry of Education of the CARM relating to the school of La Aljorra, to know the status of processing, as well as the reliable reality that comes from the aforementioned documentation.

This request will have to be effective during the next convocation of the Neighborhood Board.

The meeting took place last night at the Local Social of La Aljorra and was attended by the councilor of the MC Cartagena municipal group, Francisco Calderón, and the coordinator of neighborhoods and councils, Enrique Pérez.

MC Cartagena articulated the petition, in the first instance, through a motion presented that counted on the refusal of the rest of the political formations that did not consider it appropriate to vote favorably on its urgency.

That is, those who request to shed light on some facts do not support an initiative to do so.

A new political nonsense in which MC Cartagena was not an accomplice.

Méndez justified his request after the recent statements of the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, who alluded to the matter stating that "the problem was stuck in the Department of Sustainable Development."

Given the importance of these statements, the representative of MC Cartagena in La Aljorra estimated that the residents of the deputation "have the right to know the status of the construction of the school, taking into account, in addition to the facts already noted, such as the movement of land that is being produced on the site acquired during the mayoralty of José López to become the definitive location ".

In the opinion of MC Cartagena, the words of the first mayor "perhaps we should interpret them as the verification of their ignorance in the processing, or can be based on the intention of obtaining a political return." In either case, it would result in a performance clearly unfortunate. "

At the same time he wished that "the determination of José López and MC Cartagena in their support to the educational community of La Aljorra, key that has allowed to advance in the project, does not end up being held back by other political interests"

At this point, the representative of MC Cartagena desgranó some of the efforts made during the current term, with Mayor López conducting the Consistory.

Among other procedures, "a project has been drawn up for the plot acquired by the previous Corporation, which is unfeasible for the regional government During these months a new plot has been acquired, an urbanization project has been prepared and, most important, is working on the adaptation of the plot, "he said.

To conclude, José Miguel Méndez said that these actions "have been the beginning of a leading role that, now, must assume the Ministry of Education, responsible for carrying out the project of the school and request change of use." It is easily verifiable, in addition , that the Executive of Lopez Miras has eliminated from the budget the departure for the construction of the school. That is why, we request that the work of José López and MC Cartagena be continued, but above all that we stop playing politics with our children and do not announce problems that do not exist or solutions that have not been given, as was done this summer, we need a school, not fiction. "

It was the epilogue to an argument that found incongruous not to materialize statements of intent with facts.
