The Park of the Rose will close for works for six months (14/12/2017)

The Park of the Rose will close to the public during the next six months in order to carry out its remodeling and improvement on the part of the students in practices of the mixed program of employment and formation of the Agency of Local Development and Employment (ADLE) and the Department of Sustainable Development.

The closure is scheduled to take place from tomorrow Friday, December 15, in order to ensure the safety of users, while the proceedings last.

The mixed youth employment and training program, Parque de la Rosa, is a project subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) and co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Youth Employment Operative Program.

It is made up of 40 students: 20 of masonry and 20 of gardening, all of them under 30 who will carry out practices changing the pavements of land in the park and creating new trails.

They will also participate in the change and renovation of the current irrigation system, the installation of stone breakwaters and the creation of new grass meadows.

They will also be responsible for the planting and replacement of trees, roses and other plants;

and they will restore the slope where the sign of this garden area appears.

The Department of Sustainable Development for its part will provide the necessary materials and will also be responsible for installing one of the old kiosks of the Alfonso XII Pier in the park.

It is also planned to renovate the playground and put into service an old well from which water will be extracted for irrigation.
