The District of La Concepcion celebrates its patron festivities (05/12/2017)

The District of the Conception lives during these days its patronal celebrations in honor to the Immaculate Conception.

The activities programmed by the association of neighbors in collaboration with the City of Cartagena include a wide range ranging from the usual musical and theatrical performances, to sports competitions, children's attractions and religious celebrations.

So today, Tuesday, December 5, the festivities begin.

At 21.15 hours it is expected that the second deputy mayor and councilor of Participation and Good Government, Juan Pedro Torralba, pronounce the proclamation, after which there will be a family raffle and a theatrical performance.

On Wednesday, December 6, there will be various domino and parchís sports competitions, ribbon and sack races, and a chocolate afternoon that will give way to a children's theater performance and the opening of the sports center for youth events and performances. Freestyle

On Thursday, December 7, the sports competitions will conclude with the presentation of trophies to the winners, a family raffle and a theatrical performance.

On Friday, December 8, the feast of the Immaculate will open the day with a floral diana, with food collection that will be presented as an offering to the Virgin, in the parish of the neighborhood.

After the mass there will be inflatables for children, vermouth dancing, family raffle and a giant paella.

The activities will conclude in the afternoon with the procession of the Purísima Concepción through the streets of the neighborhood.
