Ten public schools of the municipality of Cartagena will have defibrillators (29/11/2017)

The councils of the Interior and Citizen Security, together with the Education, Civil Protection and Cartagena Cardio-Protected City Project are carrying out the initiative to provide ten public schools of the municipal term, defibrillators.

These defibrillators, belonging to Civil Protection and in summer are on the beaches of the Municipal Term, in winter they will be installed in the selected schools.

The city council will provide training on the use and management of them to four teachers per school.

The consistory, in addition, will provide signage and complementary information material, and will also be responsible for the maintenance of the same, with the competent municipal entity Cartagena Cardio-protected project.

This initiative is a continuation of the one carried out this year by two colleges and two institutes that already have the seal of cardio-protected space.

The centers have been selected and during the next month of January the mandatory training in Basic Life Support and use of DESA according to CARM regulations will be carried out.

Once the instruction of the teachers has been completed, they will be installed in the following selected schools:

CEIP Atalaya.

CEIP Mediterranean (La Manga).

CEIP Felix Rodriguez de La Fuente (Los Nietos).

CEIP Santa María del Buen Aire (La Puebla).

CEIP Santa Florentina (La Palma).

CEIP Los Alumbres (Alumbres).

CEIP José María de la Puerta (Bda. José María de la Puerta).

CEIP San Isidoro and Santa Florentina (Cartagena Center).

CEIP Virgen del Carmen (Cartagena).

CEIP Primitiva López (Cartagena).
