The Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena hosted Thursday the last concerts organized by the Department of Youth and the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena, within the Cycle of Promotional Contests of the Competition between Strings and Metals.

The first was in the morning, with the performance of the winners in the flamenco mode: Jesús Contreras Santiago (Cante flamenco) and Daniel de la Cotera Sánchez (flamenco guitar), with luxury professionals such as the teachers of this specialty of the Conservatory of Cartagena, Fran Capiscol (Flamenco Guitar), Raquel Cantero (Cante Flamenco), Daniel Valera (Flamenco Dance) and the special collaboration of saxophonist Manuel Avellaneda.

The Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena put an end to the Promotional Concert Cycle in the afternoon, accompanying five of the winners of the last edition of the Entre Cuerdas y Metales contest, in a performance in which each of the soloists shone: Antonio Molina (guitar ), Felix Ismael Gallardo (tuba), Ángel Rodríguez (marimba), Sergio Arques (violoncello) and Víctor Amaya (piano).

Luxury closing, where the presence was also recovered under the baton of Andrés Pérez Bernabé, titular professor of Orchestra at the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena for 11 years, and who is currently developing this activity at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia .

Among the numerous public, highlight the presence of the councilor of the Area of ​​Culture and Archaeological Heritage, Sports and Youth, Ricardo Segado;

the councilor of the Treasury, Isabel García, and the director of the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena, María Ángeles Bres.

The XXI edition of the Entre Cuerdas y Metals Contest is already underway, the registration period will remain open until December 15th and students from all the conservatories of the region can attend.
