The councilor of the area of ​​Sustainable Development and Transparency, María José Soler, the mayor of the municipal government, José López, accompanied by the general coordinator of Sustainable Development, Jesús Giménez, visited today the asphalting works that have begun to be carried out in the street Licensed Cascales and a section of Jabonerías.
In addition to the new pavement, in this project located in the vicinity of the Casa del Niño and the old Bazán school, the demolition of the old sidewalks in Licenciado Cascales has been carried out, since they were in an advanced state of deterioration, being replaced by a unique platform in order that the pedestrian traffic reaches greater prominence, providing greater width to them, as already occurs in the Plaza del Aprendiz and Carrer del Carmen.
Of the two resulting sidewalks, the one with the greatest width (4 meters) will be provided with a line of trees, facilitating shade in this area to, in this way, favor the transit of pedestrians during the summer months.
Also, among the improvement tasks, the road will be at the level of the sidewalk to highlight the presence of a singularity in the itinerary, inducing the vehicles to reduce speed.
The planned actions will provide the site with a uniform urban character by giving continuity to adjacent spaces.
ADEQUACY OF THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE HOUSE OF THE CHILD
The works are completed with a series of actions in the environment of the Children's House, due to the interest of the Sustainable Development area to adapt such a significant location of the recent history of the municipality.
In addition to widening the access road to the school, the renovation of the pavement and the replacement of the luminaire by LED lighting is also contemplated.
Likewise, new banks will be installed, enabling a new public space for the use of users of the educational infrastructure.
INSTALLATION OF APARTMENT POINTS
On the other hand, the project, carried out by municipal technicians from the Department of Infrastructures, includes the installation of different parking facilities, favoring the use of this means of transport among citizens, thus continuing with the measures initiated by the municipal government from the area of Sustainable Development to improve sustainability in the municipality.
Finally, the water pipes and telecommunications networks will be renewed.
