The XI Cartagena Trail has this year with three races by mountain with sea views (16/11/2017)

The Cartagena XI Cartagena Trail race returns to Cartagena on Sunday, November 26, and will travel through the Natural Area of ​​Sierra de La Muela, with the peaks of great hardness: El Roldán, La Muela and Cabo Tiñoso.

The test becomes the first marathon by mountain of Cartagena included in the Regional Marathon Championship of the Mountaineering Federation of the Region of Murcia.

the president of the Excursionist Center of Cartagena, Salvador Inglés;

The Cartagena Trail serves to energize the Cartagena coast through sports, especially the non-seasonal season, highlighting the west and its surroundings.

An event that, in the words of the mayor of the Sports Area, "will attract both elite athletes and amateurs from all over Spain, because it is a benchmark in the world of mountain racing, inside and outside the Region of Murcia."

THE RACES

The race has, in its eleventh edition, three tests: marathon (44 km.), Promo (18 km.) And Nordic walking (16 km.).

The marathon race starts from La Azohía and arrives in Cartagena (at the Sports Palace).

It is a mountain sport that consists of walking with specially designed walking sticks for the development of this physical activity, with the aim of optimizing the physical effort made in the bio-mechanical movement of our body while walking.

The route is 16 km.
