"Drawing and philosophy for children: The geometers" is the workshop that will be taught this Thursday, November 16, within the Cartagena Think, in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, which is part of the cycle of workshops drawing and collage.

Los Geómetras, a project by Mateo Ripoll and Beatriz Pérez Saura developed at IES El Carmen, will be held at the municipal library Doña Centenito of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, at 6:30 p.m.

The duration of the workshop is one and a half hours.

The inscriptions are made in the library itself.

Attendees to the workshop, aged between 7 and 10 years, will be introduced to the life and work of a thinker or philosopher related to geometry, through anecdotes about the life and work of several pre-Socratic philosophers, such as the Greeks Thales, Eratosthenes and Pythagoras.

Mateo Ripoll Planas (Palma de Mallorca, 1981), studied Fine Arts at the Faculty of San Carlos, in Valencia.

Once the degree was completed, he attended the CAP and began studies in the Third Cycle, obtaining research proficiency and becoming a "Specialist in Drawing and Expression Techniques".

Transferred to the Region of Murcia, he works as an interim teacher of Secondary in Cartagena in the specialty of Drawing.

It combines education with research, drawing and painting.
