The Cartagonova stadium opens new facilities in "a historic renovation" (10/11/2017)

The counselor Martinez-Cachá highlights the collaboration and joint work between administrations to carry out these actions

The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, opened today, along with the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the president of FC Cartagena, Francisco Belmonte, the new facilities of the Cartagonova stadium.

Martínez-Cachá said that "it is a historic remodeling", highlighted the collaboration and joint work between both administrations to carry out these actions, and thanked the support of the Murcian Football Federation.

The works have consisted of the replacement of the turf and the remodeling of the benches to comply with the rules of the Professional Football League (LFP) in the face of a possible promotion of the club to the League 1 | 2 | 3.

The new ones have 14 seats and are closer to the center of the field.

In addition, the costumes have also been arranged.

Martínez-Cachá affirmed that "we have responded to the albinegro team with the same commitment that they put to take Cartagena to the top of football, now the team has the necessary facilities to achieve its great goal, to ascend"

The works have had a total cost of 150,000 euros, of which the Community contributes 45,000 divided between this year and next.

The rest are financed by the City of Cartagena and by the Murcian Football Federation.

The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports expressed the "absolute commitment" of the regional government to promote sport in the Region of Murcia.
