The Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, led by the mayor David Martínez Noguera, has scheduled for Friday November 10, two complementary initiatives aimed at children, which are part of the cycle 'Read, Think, Imagine'.

"It is two attractive and free proposals that will delight the whole family and that come to reinforce the commitment of the Department to bring culture and promote reading among children," said Councilman David Martinez.

'THE SPARROW AND THE POET'

The performance of the play 'The sparrow and the poet' is a new bet of the poetry festival Deslinde to offer a quality offer to children.

The work, which was born as a result of the 75th Anniversary of the death of the poet Miguel Hernández, can be seen next Friday, November 10, at 6.30 pm, in the auditorium of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center and is intended for children From 8 years.

The family show, recommended by the 75th Anniversary National Committee of the death of Miguel Hernández, will be staged by 'La Carreta Teatro' with an interpretation that they describe as "energetic, vital, emotional and heartfelt".

Those responsible for the theatrical editing explain that "the representation faces the challenge of approaching the life and literary work of the great Oriholan poet, always with respect and admiration.

To this we must add that what prevails in this adaptation is the deep emotion that we have put at the time of treating the character ".

The project, intended for a family audience, aims to ensure that attendees can know the figure of the poet both from a literary and human point of view.

For this, the company has faced its work from two different points, and at the same time, that has achieved an agile, entertaining and fun shows, but at the same time full of feelings.

TWO ACTS FOR DIFFERENTIATED PUBLIC

The first front is approached from the interpretation.

The actor Roberto Martínez will play the figure of Miguel Hernández in a performance that will stage a selection of poems from different stages of the poet's life, which will be interspersed with experiences, memories, letters and longings that will bring us closer to Miguel Hernández.

In this part of the work, the protagonist will talk about the poet's fears, about his life, and will draw us his closest environment and the social reality of the moment.

In the second part of the work the show will be revitalized, through the creation of a visual reference close to the poet.

For this, a plastic artist will draw, paint, manipulate and animate, creating and recreating the world of Miguel Hernández.

The project is carried out with the collaboration of Titeremurcia, the International Festival of Puppet Theater of the Region of Murcia, an initiative of UNIMA Murcia.
