The Agrupacion Musical Sauces celebrates Santa Cecilia 2017 (08/11/2017)

The Musical Association Sauces will celebrate the patron saint of musicians, Santa Cecilia, with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena.

As is traditional, on Saturday, November 11, we will proceed to the collection of new musicians in their homes.

It is a very endearing act where the director and the president of the titular band ask permission to the parents and relatives of the musicians to incorporate them to the group, arriving at the address to the sound of pasodobles and cheering the musicians with noises and sounds to the new member.

Once placed in their place they play another piece for the family and neighbors of the newly incorporated.

Sauces will celebrate Santa Cecilia, with a series of performances that will cover a wide range of musical genres.

November 10th at 9:30 p.m. at the Teatro Circo.

Framed in the 'Solidarity Festival Prophets in Our Earth', which has the support of the City of Cartagena, act a group of adult students of the school of music of Sauces.

November 11 at 6.30 pm at the Club de Regatas.

Modernist concert of the group of girls 'Musiquitas de Sauces', with the collaboration of the singer from Cartagena Lola Cayuela, and the performance of the actress Úrsula Gil, who will entertain the concert by playing a character from the modernist period interacting with the audience.

November 25th at 7:00 pm at the El Batel Auditorium.

'Traditional Concert of Santa Cecilia' sponsored by the City of Cartagena.

This year's program of the Traditional Concert includes a sample of music by Cartagena composers already established on the international scene;

as the world premiere of the band Sinfonietta by Mateo Soto (dedicated to our director) and the interpretation of the new work by José Alberto Pina: The Ghost Ship.

The second part will begin with a work that is always a great challenge for a band: Spartacus by Jan Van der Roost, will be followed by the popular symphonic prelude of Geronimo Giménez's La Torre del Oro and will culminate with great musical surprises in charge of the kids of our music school.
