4 + 1 presents a current vision of The Garden of Delights in the Luzzy (02/11/2017)

The art of the collective "4 + 1" will be given from next Friday, November 3 in an interesting pictorial exhibition that will open its doors at 8:30 p.m. in the exhibition hall of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.

"The Garden of Delights" is a joint exhibition of Paca Calvo, Alfonso G. Aznar, Carmen Casanova, Jesus English and Angel Maciá that can be visited in the center until December 20.

"This is a painting exhibition that offers a proposal that goes beyond the concept of a garden as a mere idyllic place, inspired by the work of" El Bosco ", this exhibition alludes to current challenges", explains the councilor for Culture , David Martínez

Impossible characters, fantastic animals and forbidden fruits, a whole world that the painter reflected in his famous triptych to show us a hedonistic universe full of symbols.

The garden is the starting point of these artists who make a reflection of our convulsed society.

"Beauty," they explain, "is a virgin, but behind it the delights of the garden hide other worlds that the collective is capable of interpreting."

Love, power, ignorance or essence are concepts linked to human nature that they know how to capture on the canvas, each with its particular vision of art.

PACA CALVO

He uses the figurative technique, on wood or canvas, in acrylics.

The most frequent topics are the landscapes of our region, such as the salt mines, the Portman mines and the wetlands.

He explains that his intention is to make society aware that without the strong, beautiful and fragile pillars that support our "home" we will end up extinguishing ourselves.

He is self-taught and uses wet and mixed techniques.

He has participated in exhibitions at the Economic of Cartagena, the Gigarpe Gallery, the UPCT, the Vacas room in Madrid, the Codac Center in Huelva, among others.

He teaches drawing and painting classes at the Real Sociedad Económica de Cartagena and at the neighborhood association of San José Obrero.

ÁNGEL MACIÁ

His works range from the urban landscape to the natural landscapes of both the interior and the sea.

Its other side is the human figure, which is the excuse to propose different aspects related to the essence of the human being and feelings.

For this, he uses visual metaphors and symbolism.

His inspiration is related to religious and mythological aspects in much of the series he does.

ALFONSO GARCÃA AZNAR
