The actor Carlos Santos will receive, in this forty-sixth edition of the Cartagena Film Festival (FICC), the FICC-Gas Natural Fenosa prize.
With this award, the FICC and Gas Natural Fenosa, official sponsor of the festival, recognize and reward the work that the people of the Murcia Region do in the world of cinema.
For this reason, this year they want to highlight the magnificent work of Carlos Santos, an actor who has become one of the most outstanding performers of film and television in our country thanks to his talent and versatility.
Born in Murcia in 1977, Carlos Santos studied at the School of Dramatic Arts of Murcia, but abandoned his career in the third year.
Acoustic guitar lover, he plays with the Soundtrack band since 2012. Popular for his Povedilla roles in 'Los hombres de Paco' and of Félix Aranda in 'El tiempo entre costuras', currently stars in the series Tele 5' Ella he is your father'.
Within the world of cinema, he has worked under the orders of such distinguished directors as Iciar Bollaín ('Also the rain', 'Mataharis'), Javier Bardem ('Mortadelo and Filemón'), Nacho García Velilla ('Villaviciosa de a lado') ), Imanol Uribe ('Honey of oranges') or Alberto Rodríguez ('The man of the thousand faces').
In theater, among other works include 'Store', 'Mother (The father drama)', 'The Negotiator' or 'Don Juan'.
And as director he has directed the works '75 stabs' and 'A fool in a box'.
Throughout his career, Carlos Santos has won numerous awards, including the Goya Award 2017 for Best New Actor and the Union of Actors Award for Best Actor in Secondary 2017, both for his role as Luis Roldán in 'El hombre de las one thousand faces'.
The award will be given during the celebration of the closing of the FICC_46 on Saturday, December 2 at the El Batel Auditorium.
