The ambitious municipal plan to act on Beatas and neighborhoods, promoted by Cs, will begin in December (27/10/2017)

Isabel García has informed the spokesperson of the orange formation that the Department of Infrastructures will invest 300,000 euros of the amendment of Citizens in the remodeling of Beatas Street, and also in Villalba Corta, San Cristóbal Corta, Ciprés, Don Roque and Plaza de Roldán.

This multi-year expenditure has already been approved by the Governing Board on October 10, and according to García, everything is at the expense of the last Contracting procedures to publish the project, which is finalized, and work is expected to begin in the month of December.

This is the first step of an ambitious project for improvement and refurbishment in the surroundings of the Plaza de la Merced and Beatas Street, which includes converting the latter into a semi-pedestrian road that serves as an impetus for the development of the neighborhood.

According to sources of Sustainable Development, a new flexible asphalt pavement will be used for road traffic, non-fissile and comfortable traffic.

The works will include new accessible steel, the renovation of sewage and the collection of water.

The estimated time of execution is three months.

Although this system has not been worked in the southern area of ​​Spain, the procedure is common in other regions such as Catalonia, Basque Country, Balearic Islands, Castile and Leon or Castilla La Mancha.
