"Socrates and the return of wisdom" is the new workshop to be given in the framework of a series of adult philosophy workshops, organized by the cycle "Cartagena Piensa" in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena .
The session will take place on Thursday, October 26 at 7:30 pm in Room 2 of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.
At the origin of Philosophy we find Socrates and his exhortation to know ourselves: who are we really? What is an authentic life?
We will discuss what his invitation to wisdom consists of as a way of life, a proposal that goes beyond psychology and does not confuse wisdom with mere erudition.
PHILOSOPHY WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS
With the aim that attendees become more aware of their own philosophy of life and can integrate a more mature, lucid and creative vision of themselves, Ramon Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center is giving a series of philosophy workshops for adults, framed within the cycle "Cartagena Piensa".
It is an activity of self-knowledge through philosophical dialogue where classical themes and authors of Philosophy are introduced.
EDUCATIONAL INTENTION
The educational intent of adult philosophy workshops is to provide a public space to address fundamental questions about existence, as well as to invite participants to express and clarify what values ​​and beliefs mobilize their lives.
To do this, they will show and analyze relevant ideas of classical authors of philosophy in relation to self-knowledge and recover the character of group exercise, dialogued, alive and transforming philosophy.
