Green light in the Commission of the Treasury to the modification of the taxes and taxes for 2018 (16/10/2017)

The Information Commission for the Treasury and Interior, meeting this morning, under the chairmanship of the councilor of the area, Francisco Aznar, has favorably ruled by a simple majority the proposal to amend the ordinances that regulate the municipal taxes and taxes for the year 2018.

The proposal has been presented by the Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Isabel García, who has exposed the main changes that focus on the establishment of new bonuses and simplification of rules and procedures for the benefit of taxpayers.

During the Commission the municipal groups have asked the councilor about the details of the proposal.

The councilor of the group of CTSSP, Francisco Martinez, has asked that in the plenary could debate and vote separately each of the modifications.

The opinion has counted with the favorable votes of the councilors of the municipal groups of the Government (PSOE and MC) and the abstentions of PP.

Citizens and CTSSP.

PLAZA DE LÓPEZ PINTO

The Commission has also favorably approved by a simple majority the proposal of the instructor of the Municipal Honors and Distinctions file, Councilman Ricardo Segado, for the change of denomination of the Plaza of General López Pinto, for that of Juan López Pinto Square.

The change was based on the application of the Law of Historical Memory and was intended to replace the name of José López Pinto, Francoist general, for that of Juan López Pinto, defender of liberalism and constitutionalism in the nineteenth century.

It was a solution proposed by the technical commission of streets in which the official chroniclers are integrated to minimize on the other hand the problems that always entails a change of denomination.

The opinion has counted with the favorable votes of PSOE and MC, abstentions of PP and Citizens, and the vote against of CTSSP.

By requiring unanimity in the Commission, according to the current rules of Honors and Distinctions, and in order to clarify the apparent contradiction that it can then be approved by a qualified 2/3 majority, the matter has been left on the table for further study.

Among other matters, the Commission has also taken note of José López's letter of appointment as a spokesman for the municipal group of MC, as well as the changes of representatives in the Urbanism and Infrastructures commission.
