The City Council will facilitate the installation of tourist accommodation in the municipality (10/10/2017)

The City Council will keep the IBI down and apply new bonuses in Taxes and Taxes, once the local government meeting, meeting Tuesday, has given the green light to a series of amendments to the Fiscal Ordinances of 2018, as explained the councilor responsible for the Area of Finance and Interior, Francisco Aznar, and the councilman delegate of Finance, Contracting and Patrimony, Isabel García.

These bonuses include those affecting the ICIO (Construction, Facilities and Works Tax), with a clear commitment to attract tourist accommodation companies by reducing the construction of hotels in the municipality by up to 50%, a commitment that, according to Francisco Aznar, reached the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, after meeting with businessmen of the sector.

In addition, there will also be a subsidy of up to 95 percent for construction of university units carried out by public universities (UPCT, UNED), which involve the rehabilitation of emblematic buildings anywhere in the municipality, not only in the urban area, and the bonus for declared works of special interest or social utility is increased to the same percentage.

Up to 50 percent, will be the reduction for companies that promote respect for the environment and sustainability.

As regards the Real Estate Tax, Isabel García explained that the reduction in the receipt is maintained and the limit on the taxable amount is increased for the access to the bonus of this tax for large families, which will be 90,000 euros.

As for the Fees, the modifications affect, among others, the rates for parking at taxi, bus and motorcycle stops;

the issuance of administrative documents;

for the provision of services related to animal control;

for examination rights or other selective tests, for the provision of urban services;

for the provision of services by the Fire Department;

and for the use of rooms in the Women's Nursery for Women.

The Councilor delegate of Finance recalled that all these modifications follow the line of the municipal government to reduce the tax burden on companies and individuals, hence also the improvement of the Custom Payment Plan avoiding the annual request of the same, so that will be granted with indefinite unless resignation or non-compliance on the part of the interested party, making possible, also, the adhesion to the Plan at any time of the fiscal year.

The amendments approved today in governing board affect Taxes and Fees, leaving for later those that refer to the Public Prices.
