'Erasmus + Youth in Action' is a program promoted by the European Commission and offers the opportunity for any young person residing in the European Union to carry out a non-formal education volunteering project in another country, in the third sector.
Cartagena welcomes every year 3 to 5 European volunteers within the framework of this same plan, in which young people will support during their stay in the different programs promoted from the Youth Area.
One of the objectives of this project is to promote teamwork, collaboration, adaptability, flexibility, and so on;
so the four volunteers will conduct group activities apart from their individual assignments.
Thus, Jacob, Dorottya, Sophie and Dimitrios will lend their support to initiatives such as the Mandarache Prizes, ImpliK2, the correspondent program of the secondary education institutes coordinated by InformaJoven, the Bookstore, the ESN socio-cultural activities Network) of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), the Language Exchange, the Welcome Area, offering information to newcomers, the competition between strings and metals, the Night of Museums, UrbanCT and much more.
