Hundreds of people are concentrated in Cartagena against sexist violence (26/09/2017)

The plaza of the Icue de Cartagena hosted yesterday at 20:00 hours a rally organized by the Platform International Women's Stop, through Platform March 8 in disgust for the murder of a young woman stabbed by his former partner in the deputation of Quarries.

To the act were added council councilors headed by the acting mayor Juan Pedro Torralba, and the councilman of Equality, David Martinez.

Several hundred people gathered in the plaza, joined by many citizens who were walking through the historic Casco to protest against the scourge of gender violence in our society with banners and posters.

Under the motto "Not one less" the congregation demanded that the necessary measures be taken so that there is not one more death due to the macho violence.

During the ceremony, several manifests were read, including a letter from another woman killed by her ex-wife, read by her mother, the young woman who died yesterday.

The City of Cartagena has decreed two days of official mourning and has been called a minute of silence today Tuesday, September 26, at 12:00 in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
