Teleco students present in Madrid an app to do muscular rehabilitation without leaving home (20/09/2017)

Eight students of the UPCT Telecommunication School have devised an app that allows to do muscular rehabilitation exercises without leaving home.

'Healthify' is an application that includes a database with exercises focused on each ailment and allows to perform a 3D model of the patient using a scanner.

The young people presented their idea today at HackForGood Big Day, an event organized by Telefónica's Chairs Network, held in Madrid.

"Through our 3D model we can compare our exercise with those collected in the database in real time (thanks to some motion sensors)," said José Serrano and Raquel Jiménez, two of the students who have devised the app.

In addition, "we could see in green color our body model if we perform correctly the exercise or, in red, if it is incorrect, if for example, we exceed the amplitude of the exercise.

The idea has been presented to a group of inverters and incubators of Start Ups.

The students who have devised the application are Raquel Jiménez Segura, José Serrano Diaz, Irene de la Cruz Hernández, Amelia Fernández Rodríguez, Eva Bernal Nicolás, Magdalena Martos Núñez and Antonio Oliva Aparicio.
