- The Local Finance Regulatory Law grants municipalities the power to offer a bonus of up to 50% of the total tax on the Real Estate Tax to those who install systems for the use of heat or electricity from the energy coming from Sun.

This possibility has not been exploited by the regulatory ordinance of the Property Tax of Cartagena

- "One way to promote the integration of renewable energies in the homes of our municipality, is to provide incentives to those individuals who decide to invest in these systems of use," said Cs Cartagena spokesman Manuel Padin

The Citizen spokesman in Cartagena, Manuel Padin, will propose in the next plenary session that a bonus of up to 50 percent will be applied to those homeowners located in the municipality of Cartagena who invest in renewable energy.

Manuel Padín explained that the application of this bonus would be conditional, obviously, that the facilities to save energy in the houses are properly legalized.

"One way to promote the integration of renewable energies in the homes of our municipality, is to provide incentives to those individuals who decide to invest in these systems of use," said the spokesman of Cs.

The Local Finance Regulatory Law grants municipalities the power to offer a bonus of up to 50% of the total tax on the Real Property Tax to those who install systems for the use of thermal or electric energy from the sun .

This power has not been taken advantage of by our ordinance regulating the Real Property Tax.

With this initiative, Citizens intends to truly encourage the use of these clean energy in the municipality against the use of fossil fuels.

"The local administration is the first that should set an example, if it does not do with its own properties, something that we have been insistently claimed in recent months, we hope that it encourages citizens to use solar collection systems or facilities alternatives that help, both to reduce energy consumption and to improve the environment, "said Padín.
