The FC Cartagena paid last Monday the entire debt it kept with the Tax Agency, which amounted to an amount of 1,057,211.54 euros.

This was announced on Wednesday by the president of the entity albinegra, Francisco Belmonte, in a press conference attended by the mayor of the city, Ana Belén Castejón, the councilman of Sports, Ricardo Segado, and in which he has accompanied by the general director of the club, Manuel Breis.

Thus, as stated by the top leader of the 'Efesé', "to date has zero debt."

Belmonte explained that the payment of this debt has been made by paying one part in cash and the other by means of a bank policy in the name of the club and fully guaranteed by the Board of Directors thereof.

It has also qualified what has been done without the sale of shares or any entry in the Board of Directors itself.

This prevents the establishment of a unique agreement between the club and the Tax Agency and, on the other hand, with Social Security.

For tano, FC Cartagena only has to pay what was collected in the competition of creditors, which initially assumed a sum of 4,924,980 euros.

Creditors then accepted a 70% reduction and a two-year waiting period ending June 30, 2018. Thus, payments will begin on July 1.

When this option is approved, all subordinated loans are 80% and therefore only 20% of the subordinated loans remain.

The first three years will be paid 10% while the fourth and fifth will be 35% each exercise.

The bankruptcy debt with the Tax Agency remains at 309,000 euros, and with the Social Security is 9,698.22 euros.

As specified by the president of the club has decided to take the step forward to pay this debt in one go because it was sought to avoid interest with Treasury, too large.

The leader albinegro has added that until now had been paying a monthly amount and to this day have taken all payments per day.

On the other hand, there is the guarantee required by the Federation, which computes the last 5 years of debt, and that in case the club does not ascend and continue in Second Division B would have to re-submit at the beginning of the competition in the course to come, and that would amount to 200,000 euros.

The president of Ephesus recalled that, in 2015, when the present Board of Directors entered, debt debt was approximately € 4.9 million, which was computed under the creditors' agreement;

was also due to players about 400,000 euros;

and at this time have had to submit two endorsements of 200,000 to be able to compete.

In total it has faced an amount of about 2.5 million at this time.

"There is no case in which a club in this category has been able to cope with such a quantity," said Belmonte, who added that there is "absolutely nothing" that the entity has to pay and that it can not do what.

The leader has assured that the club has the capacity to "face" a contest of creditors "totally assumeable for the club from the 1 of July of 2018".

This, he says, demonstrates the feasibility of the project and sends the message to the 7,000 subscribers who are here "to make a big club";

to institutions "that their support is not in vain";

and the sponsors "who are betting for a winning club".

Belmonte has pointed out that the directive albinegra just thinks "to grow and this step was vital to take one step further."

IMPROVEMENT OF THE LAWN

Francisco Belmonte has also bet to take advantage of the pull of the game that will face the Spanish Under-21 National Team against Slovakia at the Cartagonova Stadium next November 14 to improve the conditions of the turf, as his idea is to offer the best image of the entity and the city with a field that shows its best galas and thus "to make a FC Cartagena the greatest possible on and off the pitch."

The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, visited the stadium to check the deficiencies of the grass in situ with the purpose of "that the Cartagonova can be at the height that deserves a historical party" and "have the field ready for such an important meeting," said the mayor.

In this regard, the first mayor has expressed her "commitment and willingness" to condition the field and thus "demonstrate to the fans, Cartagena and the rest of the world" that the city and the club are "capable of hosting a match of that magnitude that will be promotion at sports, tourism and all kinds for the city of Cartagena. "

However, Castejón has advocated "to do it in the best way possible, to shuffle all possibilities, to be giving face, doing the best that each one knows how to do and providing the best solutions, but above all, quality" and take advantage of this situation "so that everything is perfectly conditioned" and "boast a Cartagena host of the first level, where the largest can come" to visit the Cartagonova and the city.
