The pregon of the mayor in Los Dolores starts the celebrations in honor of her patron (04/09/2017)

Los Dolores began this Saturday, September 2, their patron saint festivities in honor of the virgin that gives name to this neighborhood Cartagena.

There are ten days of activities, in which the Council of Festivals collaborates, and which will be extended until Sunday 10 in an uninterrupted manner, culminating a week later, Sunday 17, with the celebration of the patron.

The inauguration of the fairground and the proclamation of the festivities was in charge of the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, who with this gave the official start signal to the festivities this Saturday September 2 in an act that also attended the councilman of Interior, Francisco Aznar, the delegate councilor of Social Services, Carmen Martín del Amor, the delegated councilor of Equality, David Martínez and other members of the Consistory as Álvaro Valdés and Esperanza Nieto.

From this moment will happen the acts and leisure activities designed in all public and that will fill the streets of Los Dolores with the atmosphere of neighbors and visitors.

Sports, music, competitions and championships, gastronomy, exhibitions and all kinds of entertainment is what the public can enjoy if you approach the place.

There will be a craft market creative and in the gastronomic part there will be a paella contest and another one of migas.

The music will be protagonist with the performances of the Grupo Fusión Show in the coronation of misses and Mr., Agua Marina, José Damián and the formation First Line;

also with the animations of the Comparsa Superduendes as well as with the dance exhibitions of the Gabriela Mistral and Toñi Escolar dance schools as well as the Chilis Group.

The sports will have an outstanding relevance, as it has organized a popular race and another cyclist as well as championships of parchís and other games of table and foosball.

On the other hand, there will be a Zumba marathon, the II Skating Concentration and a Taekwondo exhibition, as well as a day of popular games and sports exhibitions.

This Monday 4 from 22:00 hours will be held the Trovera Evening, which will be run by the Association Trovera José María Marín and will also be celebrated the coronation of the Queen of the Elderly of the 2017 Festivities. same hour will be the Night Andaluza, with the contest of sevillanas.

There will also be a Women's Day, which will be held on Wednesday 5, and will coincide with the day dedicated to children, in which the attractions of the fair will reduce their cost to 50% and there will also be children's costumes.

The variety magazine with Spanish song singer María José Lorente, comedian Miki Dkai, Lolita Torres and their dolls and the dance partner led by María del Carmen Baños will be on the evening of Thursday 7 from 22:30.

And on Friday 8 at 11:00 pm will start the Young Night 'Play Summer Party', which will feature a DJ's contest and the new session of Dj Paco García and Kiko.

Sunday 10 will be the turn of the Pilgrimage of the Virgin of the Dolores that will leave at 11:00 am from the church until reaching the pinnacle of Salesians.

There will also be a parade of horses and carriages in the afternoon and at night, from 22:00 hours onwards, the party dance will take place with the Duet Musical Minerva and the final line at midnight.

On Sunday 17th, the patron saint's day will be celebrated with a wreath and Eucharist at 11:00 p.m., and at 8:00 p.m., the feast day will be closed.
