Culture closes the Musical Colonies with students aged between 3 and 17 who have started in the music this July (28/07/2017)

This Friday, July 28, the Musical Colonies that are part of the summer activities program of the Department of Education of Cartagena, ended with an event that was attended by the councilman delegate of the area, David Martinez.

The activity, which has had the participation of children between 3 and 17 years, has covered all the month of July in courses of a fortnight.

About 60 children and youngsters participated in the first half of the year, while in the second they were 28. The edil of Education and Culture has described the call of this year as "successful" and has shown its gratitude to the Professional Conservatory of Music of Cartagena And the Music School Misercua their collaboration to launch, once again, this proposal for the summer season in the port city.

"We could not forget the music, which is so important for student development, especially at such early ages," said Martinez, who has emphasized his intention to "continue working on this line".

The councilman has been accompanied by the director of Misercua, Abel Solano, who has explained the main aspects that have been worked with students who have participated in the Musical Colonies, such as initiation to music, rhythmic sense and hearing education "From each to the future, since many of them want to learn to play some instrument".

This training, he emphasized, has been done using a "divergent" methodology since "in the summer the students want fun".

He has shown his satisfaction with the work done with young students since "it is always very rewarding".
